COSTA MAYA · MAHAHUAL

Chacchobén Ruins

Chacchobén Ruins

There’s a moment at Chacchobén when the trees open up and a stone temple fills the view. Leave room for that moment. Walk among the plazas and forest paths, pause for photographs, and spend part of your cruise day somewhere that invites you to look a little closer.

Your transportation is private for your booking, so you travel with your own party. Choose the ruins experience, add the stories and context of a certified archaeological guide, or turn the outing into an adventure on land and in the sea with Mahahual snorkeling. If time allows, ask for an optional stop in Pedro Santos (Pineapple Village), where you can purchase local fruit. The usual ruins outing takes about 3–3½ hours from departure, including the return drive; the snorkeling combo takes about 4–5 hours. Beach time at Mambos can follow if your ship’s schedule allows.
