A little sea breeze, your favorite people, and the anticipation of the next bite: this is a port day with a different kind of excitement. Head out from Mahahual on a boat reserved for your booking and enjoy time together on the Caribbean. Your captain/crew, all required fishing equipment, and bait are included. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy on the fishing boat, and an ice chest is available. Tell us your experience level and what kind of outing you have in mind so our team can help plan it.
Make it a quick introduction or choose more time on the water, with a boat reserved for your group. Afterward, keep the day going at Mambos. If you’d like your catch cleaned and cooked there, we’ll agree the extra price with you before preparation. Your full charter price and the balance due at Mambos are shown before you request a booking.

Bring along
A hat, sun-protective clothing, comfortable footwear, and your own towel for beach time. You may bring food and drinks for the fishing boat only; Mambos does not allow outside food or drinks.
Your meeting point
Take a taxi from the first taxi location inside Costa Maya port to Mambos Beach Club & Restaurant. Our host welcomes you there, pays the included inbound fare, and helps you start your activity. Pay the remaining balance at Mambos.
All agreed local pickup times use America/Cancun. Ship time can differ.

Questions about your private fishing charter
Where does the Costa Maya fishing charter start?
The boat outing departs from Mahahual. Meet our host at Mambos Beach Club & Restaurant after taking the included port taxi. The host pays the included inbound fare and confirms your agreed departure, trip length, and balance.
Can we book a one-hour fishing trip or stay longer?
Yes. Choose one hour or add more hours when availability and your ship’s schedule allow. The first hour is $135 USD per boat for up to four paying guests; each additional hour is $100. Your full quote is shown before you request a booking.
How many people can join the fishing charter?
The boat capacity is eight travelers in total, including free infants ages 0–2. Paying guests five through eight add $15 each, once for the trip. Free infants count for capacity but do not generate an activity fare or reservation deposit.
Is the fishing deposit per hour or per guest?
It is $5 USD per paying guest, paid once for the trip regardless of the hours selected. It is credited toward the total. For paying guests five through eight, $5 of the $15 additional-person fare is paid as their deposit, leaving $10 each at Mambos.
What does the charter include?
A boat reserved for your booking for the chosen duration, captain/crew, all required fishing equipment, bait, bottled water, round-trip Costa Maya port transportation, and Mambos beach club access. An ice chest is available; extra drinks or ice are not assumed included.
Can we bring food or have our catch cooked?
You may bring food and drinks for the fishing boat only. Mambos does not allow outside food and drinks. Catch cleaning and cooking at Mambos are optional, with an extra price agreed before preparation. Catches are not guaranteed.
Book with peace of mind
Once we approve availability and price, reserve with $5 USD per paying guest. It comes off your total, with the balance paid in Costa Maya. Children with a paid fare count; free infants do not.
Your deposit is fully refunded if your ship skips Costa Maya or cannot dock. Cancel at least 24 hours before your confirmed start for a full deposit refund. Other qualifying exceptions are explained in our cancellation policy.
