Costa Maya Snorkeling
The Caribbean looks beautiful from the shore. The reef gives you another reason to fall for it. Here, you’ll explore part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the world’s second largest barrier reef system. Set out from Mahahual and join your guide in the water, where coral shapes and passing fish turn a simple look downward into the highlight of your port day. Take your time looking around and let the crew help you get comfortable with the equipment.
The boat outing takes about 90 minutes from departure to return, with a mask, snorkel, fins, life jacket, and an in-water guide included. Back on land, your day continues at Mambos: find some shade, enjoy the beach club, and ask your host for the return taxi when you are ready, within your ship’s schedule. If you choose the optional open bar, it follows the snorkeling.

Questions about your snorkeling day
How do we get from Costa Maya port to the snorkeling tour?
Your round-trip port transportation is included. At the first taxi location inside Costa Maya port, ask for Mambos Beach Club & Restaurant in Mahahual. Our host pays the included inbound taxi fare there and helps you start your outing.
How long is the snorkeling outing?
Allow about 90 minutes for the boat outing from departure to return. You can enjoy Mambos beach club afterward within your ship’s schedule. The outing length is not a promise of 90 minutes in the water.
What snorkeling equipment and guidance are included?
A mask, snorkel, fins, life jacket, and a guide in the water are included, along with bottled water and beach club access. You explore part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef; sightings and conditions vary.
Can children and infants come along?
Children ages 3–11 use the listed child fare. Ages 12+ use the regular fare; ages 0–2 accompany parents free. The crew assesses water participation using ability, equipment fit, and conditions. Every traveler counts for boat and transport capacity.
How is the deposit credited?
The reservation deposit is $5 USD for each paying guest, including children with a paid fare. Free infants generate no deposit. We confirm availability and the full price before payment; the deposit comes off the total and the balance is paid at Mambos.
How do we arrange the return to our ship?
Agree the return plan with your host around your ship’s all-aboard time. Ask for your included return taxi when you are ready. Confirm local time in America/Cancun because ship time can differ.
Book with peace of mind
Once we approve availability and price, reserve with $5 USD per paying guest. It comes off your total, with the balance paid in Costa Maya. Children with a paid fare count; free infants do not.
Your deposit is fully refunded if your ship skips Costa Maya or cannot dock. Cancel at least 24 hours before your confirmed start for a full deposit refund. Other qualifying exceptions are explained in our cancellation policy.
